Ill Seek Face Of God On Way Forward Osei-Ameyaw

One of the successful candidates in the just-ended super delegates congress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, has said he will seek Gods guidance in determining whether or not he should participate in the expanded delegates congress scheduled for October 18, this year. He told the Daily Graphic that he would take some time off campaigning and seek the face of God on the way forward with regard to his presidential ambitions. I will not rule out anything. But let me assure my supporters that I will make my final decision known to them when my mind is made up, he said He called for unity among aspirants as the party prepared for its expanded delegates congress. We need to bond together in our forward march to power. We need to take a united path towards victory. Although two people have been eliminated and the figures obtained by four appears to be abysmal, we must all unite. We need everybody for the 2016 elections, he said. He congratulated the four other successful aspirants, particularly Nana Akufo-Addo, whom he described as a political juggernaut as well as those who failed to make the final list and urged them to consider Sundays event only as a temporary setback. Caution to party members He cautioned party members against drawing final conclusions from last Sundays event, saying the upcoming elections in October, which involves 140,000 delegates, would be a different ball game. Whether the same results will repeat itself in October or not, there are no historical antecedents to compare with. But the fact that Nana-Akufo won with a large margin does not mean that the same thing would be repeated in October. In the 2008 general election, Nana Akufo-Addo led candidate Mills with a large number of votes in the first round but Mills turned things around and won in the second round, he said. Another aspirant, Mr Francis Addai Nimo, has said he will consider his options before announcing a final decision to participate in the partys congress. Another contestant, Joe Ghartey, announced yesterday that he was quitting the race despite making the list of top five contestants. The former Attorney General is one of the five aspirants who qualified for the second phase of the primaries after last Sundays Super Delegates Congress which reduced the number of seven contestants to five.
