Ghana vs Uganda No Longer Free

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has backtracked on its earlier decision to open the gates freely to spectators for the African Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Uganda at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday, September 6. According to sources at the Sports Ministry, this decision is due to some security concerns which were raised by the National Security officials. The Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports announced on Friday afternoon that Saturdays game was going to be free for spectators to allow fans to watch the game for free due to extremely poor ticket sales prior to the game. However, this decision has been reversed after a crunch meeting between National Security officials, the Minister of Youth and Sports and officials at the National Sports Authority. Per this agreement, the Popular stand will now sell at GH2, the Wings will cost GH5 and the VVIP section will now go for GH20. The Ghana Black Stars will be hoping to appease Ghanaians when they play against the Cranes of Uganda after their poor showing at Brazil 2014 which saw them exit from the Group stages of the competition.
