Women Will Soon Sell Bodies For Salt If NDC Organizer Tells Kwebena Adjei

Women Will Sell Bodies For Salt If NDC Organizer Tells Kwebena Adjei The Effects of the harsh economic conditions in the country came to the fore last Thursday, when the Women Organizer of National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Asokwa Constituency, Madam Lucy Norshie, vented her anger at the government, and complained about the growing unemployment of the youth. She minced no words when she told the National Chairman of the ruling NDC, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, also known as Wayo, at a meeting of delegates in Kumasi that youth unemployment was on the rise. She also told the NDC Chairman that if care was not taken, women engaged in the School Feeding Programme would indulge in prostitution in order to get money to buy common items like salt. The NDC Chairman met delegates from 11 cosntituencies in the Kumasi Metropolis last Thursday, at the newly-built party headquarters in Kumasi, where the delegates confronted him with a barrage of questions on the growing economic hardship in Ghana. The frustrated Asokwa NDC Women Organizer told Kwabena Adjei that their children were unemployed and always idling about in the house. Our children are involved in criminal activities to eke out a living, the angry-looking Madam Lucy told Dr. Kwabena Adjei. Madam Lucy chastised NDC executives for ignoring their delegates, only to turn back to them when they want another mandate. The frustrated organizer, who sees nothing positive in sight about the economy, told the NDC National Chairman that the hardship was so much that even money to purchase common salt for the School Feeding Programme was not forthcoming, stressing, if care is not take, one could engage in fornication to acquire money to purchase salt for the School Feeding Programme. Another delegate enquired from Dr. Kwabena Adjei if he wanted power for himself or for the party. It took the initiative of the Master of the Ceremonies to curtail the inflow of questions. Chairman Wayo was compelled to skip some questions to save his skin, saying he would provide answer to the questions at an appropriate time. He told the irate delegates that President John Dramani Mahama was on track, and that the economy would improve in 2016, which will see the youth in good employment and earning decent livelihoods. Dr. Adjei assured the delegates that the wobbling cedi would be stabilized in 2016. We want to build a resilient economy. Ghana will resurrect again, and there are more jobs in the offing, which will benefit you all, the NDC Chairman told the delegates.
