Suspend Bugri Naabu Alan Kyerementen

The office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Hopeful, Alan Kyeremanten is demanding the immediate suspension of the Northern Regional Chairman of the party, Daniel Bugri Naabu. Bugri Naabu, on Friday, told Citi News he has set up a three member Committee to investigate and fish out the delegates who voted against Nana Akuffu-Addo in the NPPs super delegates congress. He further stated that he would sanction party members who voted for Alan Kyerementen. Mr. Naabu has subsequently issued a statement saying his earlier comments were a mere joke. But the Director of Communications for Alan Kyerementens campaign team, Nana Ohene Ntow watered down the said statement in an interview with Citi News and said: I think that we should view Bugri Naabus statement in the context of what actually happened on the ground. So that if what happened on the ground was a joke, then he can tell us his statement is also a joke. He argued that what happened was that people were openly intimidated, people were forced to swear, people were forced to show their ballot and people were threatened that if you do not vote for Nana, they are going to be consequences for you. Mr. Ntow insisted that his statement was premeditated and it is quite clear that he means what he said. According to him, Bugri Naabus suspension will caution NPP members to be circumspect when making comments on the partys affairs. He also said since there is an impending congress on October 18, it will be imperative for drastic sanctions to be taken to deter other people.
