The maiden edition of FASHION ICON AWARDS was held on Saturday, at the La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra.
The British High Commissioner to Ghana, UNAIDS Country Director � Girmay Haile, King of Igbo in Ghana � Chuks Ihenetu, Vlisco brand ambassador � Eugenia Tachie-Menson, Nana Tiaah Darkoa I, and a Ministry of Tourism representative were among the dignitaries that attended. Performing acts included Wiyaala Noella, Sala, Chemphe, Alberto, Hogan, Baba Spirit and Elaff.
Organizer, Bashiru Wasiu Ayinde says its objective �is to celebrate Ghanaian fashion industry and the promoters of it. We believe that what you appreciate, doesn�t depreciate.�
