Marcel Desailly Not Interested In Black Stars Coaching Post
Ex-France captain Marcel Desailly will not apply for the vacant Black Stars coaching job with confidants saying he is disinterested.
Ghanas Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga visited Desailly at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra, a facility owned by the former Chelsea defender last month.
The media swiftly linked him to the then newly created technical adviser position and but Desaillys representative Jamil Maraby dismissed those rumours.
He said the former AC Milan defender would reject an offer from the Ghana FA if approached.
The Minister visited Marcel Desaillys Sports Complex and had discussions over how to improve facilities and infrastructure in the country, Maraby told GHANAsoccernet.com three weeks ago.
There was no point in time that the job of technical adviser was raised. He [Desailly] has also not been approached.
But then even if he is approached, he will not accept the job.
Desailly has been linked with the Ghana coaching job since 2010 but has either withdrawn from the race or overlooked by the Ghana federation.
It has been reported that ex-internationals Kim Grant and Otto Addo have applied for the job.
