Fan Buys Car For Kotoko's Ahmed Toure

Christopher Damenya, a businessman has bought Ahmed Toure a Mazda 3 brand of car worth GHC 60,000 for signing for his darling club, Asante Kotoko. This happened just a day after a real estate developer called Christoper Opoku Mensah had donated 2 plots of land to the 27-year-old for the same reason. Toure signed a 3-year contract for the league champions on Monday, after they had beaten competition from Hearts of Oak for his signature. The biggest transfer tussle between these two clubs took place in 2003 and in that case Kotoko snatched Charles Taylor, the talisman for the Phobians at that time and the fans of the Porcupine Warriors reacted in a similar way by showering gifts on Taylor. The big question, every Kotoko fan is asking himself is, will Toure turn his back to Kotoko again? Toure has a history of not seeing through his contracts with clubs: He left Kotoko unceremoniously in his first stint with the club in the 2006/07 season and the same thing happened when he moved to Kessben FC and again at Kotoko in the 2010/11 season the Ivorian went awol.
