Black Starlets Sure Of Victory

Ghanas under-17 national team, Black Starlets, will seek to wrap up their qualification for the 2015 African Under-17 Championship with victory over their Camerounian counterparts at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. The Starlets currently hold a 2-1 aggregate advantage over the visitors from the first leg, after first half goals by Ernest Agyiri and Abass Issah secured victory for Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin's side. On account of their performance from the first leg clash, the Ghanaians must work hard and avoid complacency to secure another win at home to secure their ticket for the continental championship to be held in Niger next year. Unlike the Starlets, the visitors would have to win convincingly away from home if they are to stand a chance of playing in the competition, having blown away a chance to capitalise on their home advantage in the first leg. Coach Fabin, who was full of praise for his players after the win in Yaounde, also rued missed opportunities which could have seen them win by a wider margin. Now, he has charged his young lads to finish off their opponents in Accra. We have to prepare and not sit on our laurels. We need to finish off the game in Accra," he said.
