Leave Security Services To Do Their Work - NDC Communicator Asks Political Party Leaders

A member of the Communications Team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Anim Piesie has urged political heads in the country to refrain from interfering with the duties of security services in the country. Speaking on "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM, Anim Piesie noted that politicians seem to tamper with the work of security services such as the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and therefore advised them to allow the security services to execute their duties without any form of coercion or external influence. The NDC Communicator's admonition comes in the wake of financial scandal that has hit the National Service Secretariat where as a result, some suspects were arrested by the BNI for interrogation. According to Anim Piesie, the BNI should have the liberty to investigate the NSS rot and any other corruptible practices. We should have the country at heart. Lets ensure that we leave the institutions to do their work. We shouldnt stampede or do something which will hinder them from working. In his concluding remarks, he pledged President John Mahama's commitment to eradicating corruption in the country and believed he will not condone any official caught in the act.
