The Finder apologises for publishing the story headlined �Probe Republic Bank - HFC tells SEC� on the front page of yesterday�s paper.
Further checks by the paper have revealed that HFC never wrote such a letter neither has the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) received any such letter.
The paper apologises to HFC Bank, Republic Bank and SEC for any inconvenience caused.
The story was published on Tuesday October 14.
