Interviewed Expatriates Knows More About Ghana Football Than Local Coaches - Ben Koufie

Ex Ghana Football Association chairman Ben Koufie has claimed that the three shortlisted expatriate coaches interviewed for the vacant Black Stars job seems to be well informed about Ghana Football than many of the indigenous managers. Koufie, a CAF technical instructor who was part of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) panel which interviewed coaches Michel Pont, Avram Grant and Juan Ignacio Martnez Jimnez at the Alisa Hotel in Accra last week said the panel left with good impressions of the trios knowledge of the team and their desire to help the Stars reach their full potential. The 82-year-old said the three coaches expressed themselves so well and their level of knowledge about Ghana Football far surpassed some of the local managers. "The interview session was very good because all the coaches expressed themselves very well" Koufie said. "They know a lot about our football than some of our coaches at home" "They can tell you a lot about Ghana football which you'll marvel, which is an area we must learn and do something". "They were all good materials, good selection and very good materials" He added. Koufie's comments are expected to be met with huge dissension from the local coaches may of whom decided to opt out of the race as a show of support for the sacked Kwasi Appiah
