Former First Vice Chairman of the NPP has endorsed the two-time Running mate of Nana Addo, Dr. Bawumia as the obvious choice to partner him for the 2016 elections. According to Stephen Ntim, the exceptional economic prowess of the Former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana and his incredible performance during the 2012 election petition at the Supreme Court has shot him ahead of any possible candidate for the Running Mate position. Speaking in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Mr. Ntim said he has no problem supporting the partnership between Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia as Presidential Candidate and Running Mate respectively for the NPP in the 2016 elections. To him, the NPP is still convinced that Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia won the 2008 and 2012 elections except that the opponents were tricky, hence the party�s inability to secure the two elections as expected. �There is absolutely nothing wrong with Nana Addo and Bawumia�s partnership, if you go back to play the court hearing, you will realize that Bawumia is a great asset to the NPP; the way he was questioning the integrity of the pink sheets and the hidden figures in the 2012 elections, there is no iota of doubt that this guy is a great asset to the party and very important partner to Nana Akufo-Addo. As far as I am concerned, around this time, I don�t see anybody else who can match him,� he endorsed. Recounting the plans of the NPP in the 2016 elections to avoid court verdict, Mr. Ntim revealed that his party will police the elections from the polling station level, through to the coalition level, the regional level and to the strong room of the Electoral Commission. He however was resolute that �as far as monitoring the election is concerned, our agent will be up and doing� as plans are underway to train the party�s agents who can read and write to be at the polling stations.
