Peacefmonline.com can report that the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has once again chosen Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as his running mate for the 2016 elections. Dr. Bawumia, was the running-mate of Nana Addo in both the 2008 and 2012 general elections and many political watchers say he would be the best fit, considering his political maturity over the period and depth of knowledge about the country�s economy. Prior to the party's National Delegates Congress, Dr Bawumia was seen campaigning with Nana Addo across the length and breadth of the country and when Nana Addo won the flagbearership position, he hinted that he would maintain Dr. Bawumia as his running mate. Nana Addo on Thursday, held a meeting with the National Council of the party to announce his decision, per the requirements of the party�s constitution. Confirming the decision on his facebook page, the Party�s National Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko wrote: �Congratulations to my younger brother Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for once more being nominated by our flagbearer ‪#‎NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFFO ADDO‬ to be his running mate for the 2016 election. I pray and hope that I [Paul Afoko] and Dr. Bawumia will even do more in our three northern regions than what we did to win more additional seats in the 2012 elections in 2016... ...Kudos to my brother.
