The Ghanaian striker has emphasised he is focusing on his physique and output for the Ligue 1 side after registering his third goal of the season.
Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew believes he is regaining his best form after scoring in Lorient's 2-1 defeat over the weekend.
Ayew scored a 24th minute penalty as Lorient lost 2-1 to Caen on Saturday which was his third goal for the club this season.
I feel good. I'm trying to ramp up. The goal was good as it has helped me to be ready, so it's a good time. I do not care, anyway we will see what happens in May when the league ends, Ayew told France.fr.
I am focusing on my physical condition and my own performance, I have to feel good on the ground to push the team.
Ayew added: I had no pre-season, I arrived a week before the championship began, I was on vacation. It is quite normal that I started to be sluggish. I'm not worried at all. We lost a lot of players coming here I knew it would be a complicated season, not easy in any case, I am not surprised of the situation, we must cling.
