Kwaw Kese Remanded Into Prison Custody For Two Weeks

Information available to peacefmonline.com indicates that a KMA Court has remanded Hiplife artist Kwaw Kese to two weeks in prison. The court presided by a Circuit Court Judge William Buampong sentenced Kwaw Kese for smoking cannabis which is illegal in Ghana. Emmanuel Botchwey popularly known as Kwaw Kese or Abodam was arrested around 1:30 am, Saturday at a wine shop close to Plus Two pub at Nhyiaseo, a suburb of Kumasi, publicly smoking cannabis. The Hiplife artist was said to have participated in the famous Old School Reunion programme at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday and afterwards decided to have fun with some friends at Plus Two pub. Kwaw Kese was arraigned before a Circuit court in Kumasi on Monday and subsequently remanded to two weeks in prison. According to Hello FM's Isaac Owusu, 'Abodam' is supposed to reappear before the court on 8th December, 2014.
