General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has been robbed of his mobile phone. The robbery, the NDC scribe revealed on Ekosii sen Monday occurred during the one-week celebration of the passage of his late sister in his home at Seikwa in the Brong Ahafo Region. The robbery, the man affably referred to as �General Mosquito� said took place after he lost control of himself and became unaware of his surroundings, let alone control his properties. �I lost my phone at my sister�s one-week celebration when a large crowd gathered at my house to mourn with the family�,� he said. The unfortunate incident, he said, has made him lost the contacts of various high profile personalities including former President John Agyekum Kufour. He added that accounted for the reason, he could not place a telephone call to the former first gentleman of the land to wish him well when he celebrated his 76th birthday yesterday. Mr. Asiedu Nketia further attributed the robbery to carelessness arousing from intoxification which made him lose sight of his mobile phone. ��you know it was one of those sad moments and as usual, I was in �high spirits�, so by the time I returned to normalcy, one of the numerous persons gathered in my home had taken the phone away�I have not seen it till date�,� he added. The NDC scribe said the phone is not the only one he had misplaced, claiming it is a frequent occurrence. General Mosquito was on the show to respond to issues concerning the up-coming NDC congress slated for Kumasi. An injunction, Adomonline.com reported yesterday, has been placed on the congress by a contender for the national organizer position, Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye. Mr. Didieye secured the court injunction following suspicion that executives of the party are seeking to marginalize him by misreporting that he has been disqualified. But this move, the NDC Secretary said would not be politically suicidal for the Afram Plains North MP who he described as a �young politician with bright future.� Still on his personal life, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said he wish certain tragedies that occured to him during the 2014 never happens again. The tragedies, he said included the deaths of his mother and sister. Another was a robbery in his home in Accra.
