Group Of Death: Ghana Can Easily Qualify - Ayariga

Ghana Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga has predicted a rosy life for the Black Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations despite being drawn in a Group of Death. The four-time African champions must face Senegal and former champions Algeria and South Africa in Group C. Ghana were last eliminated after the first round of a Nations Cup tournament in 2006 when they were in the same Group with Senegal. But Ayariga is not deterred by the pedigree of Ghanas opponents and has tipped the Black Stars to survive after the opening three matches. We all appreciate its a Group made of very good countries. Anyway, if you go to a tournament with the aim of becoming a champion you must be ready to beat any team, Ayariga said. We should ready to meet any team that we meet and I have no doubt, I f you look at our world cup performance. I keep saying that we were the only country, the world champions could not beat. So if you look at the world cup standard, then I dont have any doubt that the black stars will put up a good performance in Equatorial Guinea. We should be ready to meet any team that we meet and I have no doubt. if you look at our world cup performance.
