Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described the Mahama-led government as a cursed one �who cannot solve the recent erratic power supply."
Nana Akomea cites the worsening power supply situation in Ghana since 2009 as evidence of this belief, saying the NDC government's "incompetence" was making life unbearable for Ghanaians.
The Volta River Authority yesterday warned that the level of water in the Akosombo Dam is low and could lead to more cuts in power supply next year.
According to the VRA, main producers of power in Ghana, the failure of the Electricity Company of Ghana to pay its over Ghc1 billion debt is also affecting its ability to meet the needs of consumers.
Though the VRA promised that the situation will be minimized when more generation plants are brought on stream in the future, the Director of Communications of the NPP on Adom FM�s Dwaso Nsem on Friday, maintained that the current problems can be laid squarely at the foot of President Mahama and the NDC.
�When Mahama became the president of Ghana, �dumsor was not part of the Constitution, so why are we experiencing this erratic power supply.
�NDC lacks leadership style; they need competent people to take over the Power Ministry to solve this �dumsor' problem because Ghanaians are fed up now. In fact, I think the NDC itself has been cursed, because they always don�t achieve the promises they make to Ghanaians� he stated.
