Grant Prefers Spain For Stars Camping

New Black Stars head coach Avram Grant would prefer to hold a pre-2015 African Nations Cup camp for the team in Spain. According to sources, Grant wants to work with the players in the European country before leaving with the team for Equatorial Guinea. Footy-ghana.com however understands that the Ghana Football Association, which wants to team to camp in Abu Dhabi, might decline Grants wish. Assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has flown to Germany to meet up with Grant and discuss plans ahead of the 2015 African Nations Cup and would return to Ghana next week. Meanwhile, Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga says that he believes in the quality of new Black Stars coach Avram Grant and will not be surprised if Grant eventually wins the 2015 AFCON. According to him, though the Ghana Football Association have given the coach a harmless task of doing well at the 2015 afcon, he believes that the coachs quality could come to bear on the team very early, an action that could see them win the AFCON at the end of the competition. I had a brief chat with him when he arrived here and I must say I was very impressed with his knowledge of the game and his desire to end the Black Stars trophy drought since 1982. He looks very focused and though the FA gave him just a simple task of doing well at the nations Cup, I believe that he will do more than well, to surprise us with the cup, Ayariga told sportscrusader.com I believe he can win it irrespective of the time he will use to assemble his team and the time the competition will start. It wont be a surprise to me because the rest of the technical team will be there to assist him to make good choices as the tournament progresses.
