$200,000 For One Bus...This Contract Stinks - Kyerematen Agyarko

Hon Kyerematen Agyarko, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wougon constituency has asked President John Dramani Mahama to get to the bottom of the controversies surrounding the 200 new buses being purchased by the Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMT). Each bus costs $200,000 and that is three times the amount being sold on the market; according to the Ayawaso MP. Contributing to a panel discussion on Kokrokoo, PEACE FM's flagship programme, Kyerematen Agyarko reiterated that the amount being used to buy the buses smacks of corruption. It is impossible to buy one Chinese bus for $200,000why? What I have heard is that the buses were purchased by one person and when they (MMT) realized that it was a bad deal, they had wanted to cancel it but the Chinese company threatened to go to court and that will turn into another judgment debt I respectfully ask you, President Mahama, to look into this matter. It stinks Hon Agyarko said.
