The Chairman of African Rights Initiative International (ARII) has urged International leaders, the business world and professionals, especially in the African continent to make consciousness efforts to lead change in their respective fields. He said the growing inequality gap raises a lot of concerns that hinge on global peace and stability. He continued � but this negative effects on the growing gap between the rich and the poor is felt most, especially, in developing world like Ghana where people tend to take advantage of the poverty situation to lure young men and women into violent inclinations and other social vices which have the high tendency of destabilizing our continent; being it politically, economically or socially.� The Chairman of Atlantic Trust Holding Limited and Atlantic Holdings of Dubai was speaking to Eminent professionals, leaders, business world and philanthropists at the just ended African Humanitarian Campaign �Total Emancipation 2014-United Against Child Poverty�. �We have gathered here today because there are a lot of major sensitive issues seeking our attention as a people; many lives go waste all across the continent without our support. The increasing number of children living in poverty, either as orphans, destitute or neglected poses a serious threat to our peace and security and shuts the gates to Africa�s socio-economic and political emancipation�. He said in his open address. Now in its fifth year, Total Emancipation provides a great opportunity for partners to align their organizations and companies with African Rights Initiative International in addressing some of the major sensitive developmental issues affecting children in Africa and beyond. Total Emancipation is an annual humanitarian fundraiser organized to raise support for children whose lives are affected by extreme poverty, low level of education and inadequate healthcare. The biggest child poverty campaigner in Africa also serves as a business and social networking opportunity for eminent professionals and entrepreneurs in Ghana and Africa who are interested in Africa and African development to identify He said African Rights Initiative International has proven records of leading change with strong local base and urged companies, organizations and other institutions complement the efforts of the organization and explore the partnership options of the organization to achieve the expected target to society. �Partnerships and collaborative efforts provide strong foundation for ARII sustainable relief and development programmes in Africa. Corporations have a critical role to play in helping ARII to develop cost effective programmes to protect children and lift millions of them out of extreme poverty� He stressed. The ARII Corporate Development Programme works closely with corporations both at the national, international levels and small- to medium-scaled businesses to identify, design and implement collaborations that leverage the strengths of the corporate sector on behalf of Africa�s most vulnerable groups, especially, children. Mr. Asiedu said �we are concerned about the unacceptable high levels of child and family poverty in Ghana and the African continent. We are also worried about the hazards to the future education, social, physical, development and employment success of poor children presently living in poor families in Ghana and Africa, especially, sub of the Sahara� Today also we will be appreciating the efforts of key individuals and corporations whose contributions have had lasting positive impact in the lives of children and their communities in Africa. And we will be uniting our strength as a people to build a better world for children. The Family Village Project The International Change Agent and Philanthropist is leading what is becoming the largest African humanitarian network to build a multi-purpose structure called �The Family Village Project� a model programme providing educational, health and protection for destitute children in Africa. His role as the Chairman of the African Humanitarian network is very crucial; providing leadership and direction to ensure they build strong system in responding to the needs of the world�s most vulnerable groups, especially in Africa.
