Asante Kotoko winger Richard Mpong is the latest player to renew his contract with the Porcupine Warriors after signing a one year contract extension with the �reds�. The Club has confirmed. Mpong whose contract ends on August 1, 2015 signed a contract extension after an extensive talk with Asante Kotoko officials. The petit winger will thus be with the Ghana Champions until August 2016. The 25-year-old was reported to have been linked with a move away from Kotoko after the 2013/14 First Capital plus Premier League season. He becomes the third player to renew his contract after defender Abeiku Ainooson and midfielder Michael Akuffo also penned down a one-year contract extension with the Club. Mpong played a major role for Kotoko helping them to win both the League title and FA Cup trophy last season
