Journalist Sacked From Ghana Camp

A sports journalist with angel FM in Kumasi on Wednesday morning suffered the humiliation of being sacked from the Black stars camp at the ongoing Africa Cup of nations (AFCON) 2015. Sama alleged that he was given the marching off orders from the Black Stars hotel in Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea, by an operative of the National Security attached to the senior national team. He claimed that he suffered his ordeal because of a report he made about the Ghana team on Angel FM and Twitter, a social media network, on Tuesday. He disclosed that he reported that Skipper Asamoah Gyan and John Boye could be available when Ghana face group opponents Algeria on Friday. According to him, he said in his report that Gyan had regained fitness and he was expected to train with the Ghana team after he did some running on Tuesday. Sama said even though the Black Stars training on Tuesday was not open to the public and the media, he managed to report accurately about what transpired at the training. He indicated that the National Security staff that sacked him was angry because to him the Black Stars did not want Algeria to know that Gyan would play against them. He expressed the belief that some top Ghana FA officials ordered the national security operative to sack him from the Black Stars hotel, saying that he was not perturbed about his ordeal. According to him, his report was accurate and without malice, vowing to continue providing accurate report about the Black Stars to listeners of Angel FM from the AFCON.
