Work has again commenced at the New Cape Coast Stadium since 20th August 2013. The multi-purpose stadium was designed by the China IPPR International Engineering Corporation led by architect Zhou Jun. When completed in August 2015, the 15,000 seater stadium will also have two outdoor basketball courts, one handball court, a boxing training court, audience emergency rooms, 22 guestrooms, four athletic lounges and features a 300 car parking capacity. The stadium complex has 22-room hostel facility, a canteen, kitchen, fire-fighting room, storage rsooms among others.
