It's Not Right To Insult Jordan Ayew - Avram Grant

The Israeli manager says Ghanaians must spare Jordan Ayew some flak after a bout of heavy criticisms in Ghanas previous games at the Nations Cup 2015. Black Stars coach Avram Grant is pleading with Ghanaians to desist from strongly criticising his players. Lorient forward Jordan Ayew has been on the chopping board right from the start of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations as his critics continuously called for his exclusion from the starting XI. Even though Avram Grant opted for Kwesi Appiah ahead of Jordan in the quarter-final game against Guinea, the Israeli insists the 23-year-old has performed to his satisfaction. It was first Kwesi Appiah, and later John Boye and many other players. The players are giving everything for the country. They are fighting; they are doing everything to be successful, Grant said. The Israeli added: They can speak about their mistakes, no problem. But they need to respect them. Its not right to hang them after every bad game. It is not right, I dont accept it. Jordan Ayew is a very good player, he is young and I am sure he will give a lot to the national team in future. Ghana will take on Equatorial Guinea in a semi-final encounter on Thursday.
