Every Tuesday Is A Bad Day For Me - Asamoah Gyan Bemoans

Ghana Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has posted on his facebook wall that every Tuesday is a misfortune to him.

Trailing his nasty clash with Guinean goalkeeper Nabby Yattara, who got a red card for his troubles, the Al Ain striker shared his agony on facebook. Gyan collided with a charging Guinean goalkeeper Yattara in an isolation play after he was set-up with a nice long pass by Andre Ayew during added time play.

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan lost his mother on Tuesday afternoon after driving into a pillar at the Teachers' Hall in Accra. His mother, Cecilia Amoako was rushed to the Ridge Hospital where she died on arrival.
According to an eyewitness account, madam Amoako, a teacher, lost control of the car’s steering wheel which led to her death at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

“Every Tuesday is a bad day for me,  because this car took my mum’s life on a blessed Tuesday afternoon, Mum I really miss you, may your Gentle Soul Rest In Peace, Till we meet again mum”  Gyan laments.

He is a huge doubt for the all-important semi-final clash against Equatorial Guinea on Thursday after picking up an injury against Guinea. It is still unclear the extent of the damage, but coach Avram Grant will hope that his talisman recovers in time to play a part in the semi-final clash against Equatorial Guinea.

The former Sunderland striker is unable to walk on his own and requires the help of team officials to cover distance.
