AFCON 2015: Ghana 3 - 0 Equatorial Guinea: Black Stars Set Up Final With Ivory Coast

Ghana's Black Stars have qualified for the finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations after beating host Equitorial Guinea by three goals to nil in Malabo, Equitorial Guinea.

Goals from Striker Jordan Ayew through a spot kick in the 42nd minute after Kwesi Appiah was fouled by Keeper Felipe Ovono and Mubarak Wakaso in the 45th Minute were enough for the Stars' to take the lead in the first half.

Captain on the day Andre Ayew scored a third after reccess in the 75th Minute after an assist from Kwesi Appiah.

However, the beauty of the game faded after the match was suspended for over 30-Minutes in the 82nd minute after Ghanaian fans and players were pelted by objects from the Equitorial Guinea fans.

Avram Grant's team had to be shielded by police from objects thrown from the crowd as they left the field.

The home players pleaded for calm in the stands before the resumption but they were unable to negotiate a way back into the match as Andre Ayew sealed victory and a final spot against Ivory Coast with his third goal of the tournament.

Ghana supporters gathered on the running track behind one of the goals as they attempted to escape the missiles, while police used a helictoper and tear gas to disperse the offending fans.

The game eventually resumed with the clock set at 90 minutes and the Black Stars duly saw out the contest to reach the final where they will meet the Ivory Coast.

Ghana's players remained calm throughout and were able to celebrate after playing out three minutes of injury-time upon the game's resumption to seal their place in the final.

The Black Stars play the Ivory Coast on Sunday, 8th of February.
