Ghana Sweeps AFCON 2015 Awards Despite Title Defeat To Ivory Coast

Despite the Blackstars of Ghana’s inability to pick up the ultimate at the just ended African Cup of Nations 2015 held in Equatorial Guinea, the players made most Ghanaians proud as they picked almost all the awards.

The Ghanaians won four of the five awards for the tournament in display with Christian Atsu adjudged the best player of the competition as he won the MVP of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Equatorial Guinea 2015.

Andre Ayew went away with the Pepsi Highest Scorer as scored the most goals at the tournament.

Ghana rookie forward Kwesi Appiah was also named Samsung Fair Player of the tournament.

DR Congo won the Fair Play prize.
