I am Sorry For Letting My Country Down - Afriyie Acquah Apologises-

Mercurial Black Stars midfielder, Afriyie Acquah has come out to apologise to Ghanaians for missing his penalty in the shoot-out in the finals of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Acquah, who was voted Man of the Match in the final game, missed Ghana’s third penalty kick after the Ivorians had missed their first two penalty kicks. He apologised to Ghanaians for letting the country down especially to those who were shattered after the loss.

He was optimistic of helping the Black Stars win trophies in the future. He gave his apology through his twitter page. Afriyie Acquah @AcquahAfriyie20 “Good morning, if you’re Ghanaian. Shattered, I am sorry 4 letting my country down. I’ll fight 4 this proud football nation to win future trophies.”

Alongside Mubarak Wakaso, both players formed an impermeable partnership in midfield which received several plaudits from football analysts, coaches and the general supporters.
