Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga has explained why he did not disclosed the budget for the Black Stars ahead of the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

He said discussion on budget most of the time takes the shine of the real performance of the players thus thought it wise to keep it a secret.

Speaking on Asempa FM Tuesday, the Sports Minister was elated he was able to keep the media in the dark until the end of the tournament.

He has assured a comprehensive report will be made public to put the debate about bonuses to rest.
