Hearts Fall At Kpando As WAFA Hold Kotoko

Accra Hearts of Oak recorded their second streak loss in the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) when they travelled to Kpando in the Volta Region to battle Heart of Lions yesterday.

The loss comes on the heels of their 1-2 home defeat to New Edubiase, which was followed by their not-too-impressive 1-0 win over Beninois side AS Police in their CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

The fairly balanced first half saw the home side fight in the fourth minute to snatch the only goal of the game through Osmanu Muntaka.

It was one of the few chances that came the way of Lions which they made very good use of, unlike their opponents who created countless scoring chances which they failed to utilize.

Later, Hearts pressured Lions to cancel the lead but the Randy Abbey men kept their composure especially at the rear, to guard their slender lead.

Elsewhere at the Baba Yara Stadium, Asante Kotoko, playing without their head trainer Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, who is on a long leave, shared honours when they hosted WAFA.

Kotoko were in charge during the early and latter stages of the uninspiring game but failed in all their attempts to snatch a win.
