I Was A Footballer...Used to Play For Kotoko Ladies � Actress Nana Ama McBrown reveals

Award winning actress Nana Ama McBrown has revealed that besides being excellent actress she used to be an outstanding footballer.

The "Nsem Pii" actress revealed that she played for Kotoko ladies and Gapoha Ladies while growing up.

According to her, because she was a good runner, the coach allowed her to play either number seven or eleven.

According to her, had the situation been better for footballers, she would have been a professional footballer playing with the Black Queens.


Speaking on JoyPrime's Autograph, ‘The Beautiful McBrown’ – as she loves to be called said while growing up, she lived in her grandmother’s uncompleted house sharing a single room with five other people. 

Due to family situations and conditions, and the constant movement by her family, she had to shuffle between Accra and Kumasi, making her attend several schools.

At some point, she had to join her aunt in the trade of second hand clothing popularly known as ‘phose’. This venture took her from Ghana to Cote D’ivoire, where she lived for a while.

She’s been a known face in the movie industry for many years now and has featured in both Kumahood and Ghallyhood productions.

Aside rom acting, Nana Ama spends her spare time writing songs and is also the ambassador for dietary supplement Calorad.
