Bisa Kdei, Kontihene Thrill fans at Eastern Palace

It was all joy when two hiplife artistes, Kontihene and Bisa Kdei stormed the premises of the Eastern Palace in Atibie Kwahu to entertain patrons of Adom FM Kwahu Easter Bash with lyrics from their all- popular songs.

Representing the old and modern generation of the Hiplife genres of music, the two took turns to recite lyrics from songs to the joy of patrons that thronged the annual event.

The crowd which could not hide their joy took to the floor either to cheer the artistes or dance their hearts to the great tunes from the duo.

It was the ‘Aketesia’ singer who first stormed the stage and without stopping to catch breadth, sang the old Hiplife tunes to the admiration of the crowd.

One song after the other, he rekindled in the patrons the spirit of early Hiplife music in Ghana.

And the 2014 song writer of the year at the Ghana Music Awards took it to the contemporary level when he stormed the stage to the amazement of his fans.

‘Odo Carpenter, Give to Baba, Wo ama me Asikyire Yaree and a host of his reigning songs were sang as choruses by the ecstatic fans as he walked up stage.

True to the expectations of the gathering, he gradually and perfectly sang along with the beat from his songs to their admiration.

“We want more….we want more…,” the crowd shouted as he departed the stage after his almost thirty minutes live performance.

The splendid Akwaaba Bash was only a tip of the iceberg as the Kwahu celebrants would have more fun when the likes of Kwaw Kesse of Abodam fame, Keche, Yaa Pono, Pope Skinny, A.B Crentsil, Smart Nkansa, Nana Quame and others take centre stage at the street carnival at the Obomeng High street.
