Unnamed Qatari Side Table $150,000-a-week Deal For Sulley Muntari

Out-of-favour AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari appears to be nearing towards a move to an unnamed Qatari club Al Sadd, after the player mutually parted company with the Seria A giants last week.

Sources close to the deal told Ghanasportsonline.com that representatives of the 30-year-old have already held discussions with the Gulf club which means an agreement could be reached based on the players' ultimate decision on his final destination.

"He has received a lot of offer from France and even in Italy but at the moment, his focus is at a country where he can settle comfortably and finish his career on a high",

"This offer from Qatar, like one or two clubs is what I think his agents have met to discuss on several occasions but nothing is decided yet, that is what I know because Muntari himself has said long ago that he wants to stay in the USA and play there before he retires".

No actual figure was quoted but Ghanasportsonline.com investigations has revealed that the former Milan skipper would be $150,000 richer every week.

"I cannot give figures but I'm aware how it looks, and it is attractive".

Muntari pulled himself from the AC Milan squad at the start of April, refusing to play for a club that has no part for him in the future. Milan gave their approval, per reports in Italy, with the midfielder only participating in practices for the remainder of the season.

The Ghanaian landed in Ghana last weekend and his arrival was announced by popular comedian Funny-Face who took to the social media to welcome the ex International midfield dynamo.

However, the source added that the former Portsmouth man favours a move to the Major League Soccer in America where he has longed preferred ending his professional career.

Muntari has another year left on his contract, a result of his contract extension in the last off-season. He got a raise, too, but that wasn't enough to keep him happy.

Milan could cut a deal with the player and simply terminate his contract by mutual consent.
