A former coach of Asante Kotoko Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has opened up on his exit from the Porcupine Warriors, saying he does not regret leaving.
Dramani has been largely quiet ever since he got fired by the Kumasi-based club, often declining to comment on the circumstances surrounding his exit.
But in his first interview after leaving the Fabulous Club, Dramani opened up about life after Kotoko and expressed his desire to return to the club at some point in his career.
Dramani was fired in February this year after two and half years in charge during which spell he won two league titles and an FA cup trophy. While his exit from Kotoko was not exactly smooth, Dramani insisted he enjoyed his time in Kumasi and hopes to return one day.
“Kotoko gave me a good platform and I enjoyed every bit of it. I had a good time there and in football you never say never but I will love to return to the club one day,” Dramani told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM.
Dramani’s exit from Kotoko was not short of drama. After initially being asked to proceed on a three-month leave and a back and forth confusion as to whether he was still in charged, Kotoko officially released a statement confirming that they had indeed parted company with the Tamale-born trainer after the two parties reached a compensation agreement.
Dramani believes there was nothing extraordinary about his exit.
“These things happen in football but as I keep saying, I don’t have any regrets. Right now I’m just enjoying this time with my family,” Dramani noted.
