Ghana Captain Asamoah Gyan Hits Four In Al Ain Victory

The Black Stars skipper powered in four goals as the Boss hammered Al Farajairah 5-0 in President's Cup on Thursday. Ghana international striker Asamoah Gyan underlined his supremacy in the Gulf region when he netted a quadruple to help his Al Ain side crush Al Fajairah 5-0 in the UAE Presidents Cup on Thursday. The former Sunderland striker hit a brace in each half to hand his side a comfortable win as they seek to defend the cup. Gyan, who has already helped Al Ain to clinch the Arabian Gulf League title, will be eyeing another domestic silverware after reaching the quarter finals of the Presidents Cup. Zlatko Dalics side are also competing at the continental level as they are scheduled to take on Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League next Wednesday. The Black Star has been a remarkable pivot in all competitions for The Boss. Even though he missed out on his trademark goal-king award in the Arabian Gulf League, he still finished the season as Al Ains top scorer with 13 goals. Gyan has never finished a season without a title since he left Sunderland for the UAE in 2011. He has won three league titles, a Presidents Cup and the Arabian Gulf Super Cup. Individually, he has won the top scorer award in the Arabian Gulf League three times on a trot. Gyan also won the AFC Champions League top scorer award last season as well as AFC foreign player of the year in 2014.
