Actress Vicky Zugah Suffers From Fraudsters

Last Saturday, according to screen goddess Vicky Zugah, she visited the inbox of her e-mail to check if she had received any mail from her business partners because she was expecting one but to her amazement, she saw an email which was sent from the Deputy minister for Tourism and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomoshie.

The mail read:

“Sorry for any inconvenient, but I’m in a terrible situation. I came down here to Cotonou, Benin Republic for a short vacation, last night on my way back to my hotel room I was robbed at gunpoint, my wallet and other valuables were stolen off me, leaving my passport and life safe. My luggage is still in custody of the hotel management pending when I make payment on outstanding bills I owe I contacted my bank (E-mail) for a wire transfer but it has proven almost Impossible to operate my account from her as they made me understand international transactions take 7 working days to be effective which I can’t wait.

I need you to help me with a loan of $1,950 to pay my hotel bills and get my self-home. I will reimburse you soon as I get back home. I will appreciate whatever you can assist me with. Let me know if you can be of help.

Thanks

She said she was touched and felt very sorry for such an incident to happen to not just an ordinary person but the honourable minister. But giving it as second thought, she had never given her email address to the minister and she had never given her bank account details before.

So Vicky decided to contact the deputy minister but that proved futile. She contacted a friend who was a confidante to the deputy minister to verify if she was in town or not, only to be told that the minister was in the country and was never involved in any case of that nature. She said she attempted to catch up with the imposter who claimed to be the minister but to no avail so she is therefore using this platform to alert not just celebs but all Ghanaians to be on guard about fraudsters that going about sending messages and other dubious means to extract money from the ordinary Ghanaians.

And to the imposter, time will definitely catch up with him or her were her final words to flex newspaper.
