Planned Strike Action By Workers In The Nigerian Petroleum Industry
The Management of the Volta River Authority (VRA) has become aware of a strike action in the Petroleum industry in Nigeria including N-Gas- the suppliers of natural gas to Ghana.
Notwithstanding the strike action, VRA has continued to receive gas supplies from Nigeria.
We are by this statement informing the general public of the events in Nigeria which could have repercussions for Ghana’s power supply.
However, the Authority and other key stakeholders want to assure the general public that contingency measures have been put in place to mitigatethe potential impact of this strike action.
