GFA Exco Agree To Sack Maxwell Konadu, Malik Jabir?

The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association have decided to relieve two National Team coaches of their duties, Ghanasportsonline.com has gathered. Reliable sources within the Ghana FA have told Ghanasports0nline.com that the highest decision making body of the football house have approved of the sacking of Local Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu and Black Meteors head coach Malik Jabir. The decision was arrived after a meeting of the executive committee last week in Accra at the Football Association Head Quarters. The resolve to sack Konadu emanates from the CHAN Team's alarming display at the 2015 COSAFA Invitational Tournament in South Africa. Konadus men failed woefully as first time guests at the Cosafa Cup tournament this year conceding five goals with one to their credit in defeats to Madagascar and Zambia. Filled with individual errors, the Ghana team looked bereft of creativity, team work and assertiveness. Ghana FA's technical director Francis Oti Akenteng indicated that the performance of team was unfortunate and the right things ought to have been done. The results is alarming and unfortunate but I must state I did not watch the games and have not heard from Maxwell [Konadu] too. I think we only accepted to even play in the competition because we wanted to give our boys the required exposure. We will have to wait and hear from Maxwell before drawing any conclusion, Oti Akenteng said to Citi FM. Meanwhile, the U-23, Black Meteors failed to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games after being booted out by Claude Leroy's Congo Brazziville.
