Shut Up, Anyidoho!

A member of the Management Committee of the local Black Stars Kofi Manu has launched a verbal attack on NDC Deputy General Secretary Koku Anyidoho, asking the latter not to meddle in football matters.

The outspoken GFA official advised the NDC chief to concentrate on how to retain power in the 2016 general elections, rather than poking his nose in football affairs.

“Anyidoho is not any ordinary member of the party; he is the Deputy General Secretary. So he should know how to talk. He should shut up on matters regarding football.

“The last time he spoke on football, it took late President Mills to apologise. He should rather concentrate on how the party will retain power in 2016.

“Companies like ADB, Commercial Bank, STC among others face divestiture, and instead of thinking of how to address such issues, he is talking about corruption at the GFA,” Manu said on Asempa Sports.

Last week, Anyidoho said in an interview that “we have all seen what is happening at FIFA, the headquarters of World Football but we also have been here for Nyantakyi to sit on public TV speaking about co-efficient of two and Saani Daara is also going around barking FIFA will do this FIFA will do that; so FIFA was made to look like a lion. But now that the lion itself has been arrested, where does their fate lie?”

“It just tells us the whole world is now getting sick and tired of this whole group of people. Issa Hayatou assembles his people and changes the CAF rules and wants to become CAF president for life and his agents also all over also coming back to their countries and want to become president for life so the whole thing has become a mafia.

“If today the FBI has broken the FIFA headquarters in Zurich and has picked up officials for questioning, I believe that it is the beginning of the cleansing of the football game. We have to take the bull by the horn,” he said, indicating that GFA should be investigated too.
