I Have Stopped Using Pomade Ama Boahemaa

After several months of report on her alleged skin bleaching issue, female gospel musician, Ama Boahemaa, has finally opened up about how what she calls ‘rumour' has affected her life.

Ama, who is currently based in Germany, in an interview with Adom FM said she felt bad when the story went viral and as a result of the negative reportage, stopped applying pomade altogether.

“I really felt bad after reports emerged that I was bleaching, so I decided not to apply pomade to my skin again. I am somebody who listens to Adom FM daily…anytime I hear of the report, I become troubled…one time a sibling tried to tune the radio off while they talked about me and my skin colour, but I told him to stop…,”

When Ama Boahemaa’s bleaching allegations hit the headlines in November last year, she did all she could to deny attributing her dramatic change in complexion to her love for milk and ‘toning' of’ her skin.

She even threatened to sue anyone who accused her of bleaching her skin and claimed the picture had been photoshopped.

“I am not bleaching. I won’t deny the fact that the picture is mine but it does not look like me because the facial expression is different. I know that the person who took it has altered the image. My lips have also changed.

“I don’t know why I should bleach. In fact I will sue the person if the picture is not removed from social media”, Ama warned in an earlier interview last November when her bleaching issue reigned in the media.
