Gyan Satisfied With Performance Against Togo

Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan says the team’s target was met in their 1-0 victory over Togo on Monday.

Debutant Bernard Mensah sealed a 1-0 victory for the Stars with a ferocious strike in the 36th minute.

The solitary goal meant Ghana go into their 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mauritius on a winning note and skipper Gyan says expectations of the game was met.

“For me I think we played very well as a team. We tried to implement all that we have been practicing in training and it came out well,” the Al Ain goal machine said.

“Togo is a strong side and we are satisfied with the way the game went.”

The game against Togo was the team’s first victory since their second place finish in Equatorial Guinea earlier this year with a loss against Senegal and a 1-1 drawn game against Mali in the other two friendly games played.
