Ministry of Sports Confirms Owing Black Stars Of Mauritius Winning Bonuses

The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Auto Plaha  has confirmed that his outfit has still not settled the Black Stars team of winning bonuses for the AFCON 2017 qualifier against Mauritius barely two weeks ago.

In responding to rumours that head coach Avram Grant, his assistants and some members of the Black Stars playing body have complained and placed calls at the GFA about the delay in payment of the bonuses and other allowances, Plaha confirmed that indeed the monies have not been paid but the ministry is still in the processes of facilitating payment once the government releases funds.

"Unfortunately I'm unaware of the complaints but the ministry is in the process of getting the winning bonuses and within the shortest possible time they'll be sorted out", Plaha told Angel FM

"What is happening is you know all the monies are paid by government if you are aware there are a lot of things to be done though government is aware but for the ministry we only facilitate and once the monies come, they'll be paid".
