David Duncan Grieved By Kotokos Profligacy In Front of Goal Despite 2-1 Win Over Bechem United

Kotoko coach David Duncan has admitted his side’s profligacy in front of goal in their League fixture against Bechem United.

The Porcupine Warriors managed a slender 2-1 win over the Bechem lads in match-day 20 of the First Capital plus Premier League.

Youngster Dauda Mohammed shot Kotoko in front after heading home from an Atta Kusi’s cross in the 20th minute.

Aminu Mohammed however pulled parity for the visitors in the 60th minute before a late penalty goal from striker Ahmed Toure secured the three maximum points for the Ghanaian Champions at the Babayara Sports Stadium.

Duncan who has been under intense pressure following the team’s recent poor performance in the League believes they could have been punished by their opponents after failing to utilize the numerous opportunities that came their way.

"We made the game very difficult for ourselves. Having scored first in the first half, we squandered many chances upfront. Bechem United could have punished us through the counter attacks they initiated, but we showed good character to win"Coach Duncan told journalists at the post-match press conference.

Kotoko will next travel to take on Medeama at the Takwa T&A Park on Sunday.

The defending League Champions are now 8th on the League table with 28 points after 20 matches.
