Ivorian Player Demands Helicopter and a Private Beach as part of Transfer Deal

The "obscene" demands that caused Gervinho's move to Al-Jazira to collapse have been revealed.

Roma have been looking to offload the former Arsenal forward in a bid to comply with Financial Fair Play, and Arabian Gulf Leage side Al-Jazira were keen to buy him.

But they pulled out of the deal on Monday, saying: “The deal hit a stumbling block because of the excessive demands on his four-year deal.

“He started making obscene demands, so the transfer is off."

And now Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed the details of Gervinho's proposals.

They claim he asked for a private beach, a helicopter, accommodation for all of his extended family and regular tickets to fly back to the Ivory Coast.

The deal between Roma and Al-Jazira was thought to have been on the verge of completion before the demands were made, now it seems the 28-year-old will have to find new suitors.
