JAPAN is in the midst of a growing social and health crisis – caused by people locking themselves in their bedrooms and not coming out.
Around one million citizens – predominantly young men – are threatening the country’s economy by withdrawing from society and shattering family ties in the process.
Japanese health professionals are now in a panic to stop the next generation from following suit, fearing the problem will worsen.
