Fashion, travel, music and interesting people is what M-Net�s Studio 53 has to offer DStv audiences across Africa this week. Coming to audiences from the buzzing metropolis in Nigeria � Lagos, the M-net lifestyle program goes behind the scenes of Bany W�s music video, talks to Amos Masaba about tourism, explores one of the great lakes in Rwanda and gets Interior design tips in Ethiopia. Audiences can also look forward to interviews with entrepreneur Stephanie Walkins Fia, publisher Djele Olojede and fashion designer David Tlale. With an ever-growing fan base, larger-than-life presence and electrifying live show, Banky W, born in the U.S. to Nigerian parents, moved to Nigeria when he was 5. It was there that he first heard traditional African music and rhythms which have now become deeply-rooted in his sound. Then it�s off to Ghana where Anita talks to Stephanie Workings-Fia. This former Miss Ghana and Miss Universe proves that you can combine brains and beauty as she takes a bold step in creating a new business venture called Secret Touch. From her numerous travels around the world, during and after the pageant, Stephanie picked up some very important tips on becoming a successful entrepreneur. Next, M-Net�s Studio 53 heads east to the beautiful country of Uganda to talk to Amos Masaba about tourism. Having dreams about owning his own company from a young age, Amos set out to learn all he could to make that dream come true. This week he tells DStv viewers who he is and what drives him? After, Gaetano travels to Rwanda where he explores the Magnificent Lake Kivu. Lying on the border between the DRC and Rwanda, it is one of the great lakes in Africa and is the largest of numerous freshwater bodies that shimmer in the valleys. Join Gaetano as he enjoys dolphin watching, boating and snorkelling in the reefs. Also in the show, Ethiopian interior designer Tihitna Solomon, who takes DStv viewers through Ethiopian inspired interior designing. M-Net�s Studio 53 next chats to Djele Olojede about the competitive and challenging world of publishing. Stepping into this arena is a company called Timbuktu, founded by Djele after relocating temporarily to South Africa. Lastly Studio 53 travels to S.A. to speak to top designer, David Tlale. He has showcased his collections at numerous fashion shows including Cape Town and Joburg Fashion Weeks but most noteworthy was his selection, as one of four African designers, to showcase their designs at the Paris Couture Fashion Week in July 2007.
