Norway born goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has backed his desire to play for Ghana by writing officially to the Ghana Football Association about his interest. The 21-year old expressed his desire to play for Ghana as far back as November 2007 when he said �it has always being a dream for me to play in the colours of Ghana". But he only made his interest official with a written commitment to the Ghana Football Association on Monday. The 6ft4in goalkeeper was born in Oslo to a Norwegian mother and Ghanaian father and his spent his entire career in Norway first playing for Valaregen before making the switch to Stromgodset. His official expression of interest after he had appeared for Norway�s U-20 should shake up the goalkeeping department that has been dominated by Richard Kingson who has been first choice for three straight years despite often being inactive at club level. His back-up has shuffled between the trio of Egypt-base George Owu, William Amamoo who plays his club football and Accra Hearts of Oak�s Phil McCarthy. Kwarasey is the third player to commit his international future to the Black Stars in the last week in the week of FIFA�s decision to lift the age cap on when players are allowed from one national team to another.
