GFA Race: Woman Picks Form To Contest Nyantakyi

A football coach Ofeibea Ramatu has picked up forms to contest Kwesi Nyantakyi in the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential race.

Ramatu said she is keen on contesting the football administrator-cum-lawyer to take over the reins of the football governing body of Ghana.

Nomination was opened on Monday July 13.

The nomination form for the position of the President of the Association is expected to be completed and submitted to the GFA Secretariat or the RFA office by Friday July 17.

Vetting of nominations for the position of the President will begin on Monday July 20 with the submission of the report to be announced on July 27.

Filling of Appeal against the Elections Committee’s determination which will be done by the GFA’s Appeal Committee will be done between July 28- 30 with their decision to be announced on August 7.

The General Secretary will then serve members with a notice of an Extra-ordinary Congress for the Election of the President on August 10.

Members of the GFA will then convene in Tamale for an Extra Ordinary Congress to elect the President of the Association on Tuesday August 18.

The process for the election of officials to serve on the National Executive Committee and the various regional positions will also be follow suit as earlier announced by the GFA.

The entire GFA electoral process is expected to end on November 10.
