Grunzah Drops Match-Fixing Hint

King Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Grunzah fears the concluding part of the Glo Premier League could be compromised. Grunzah has tasked the PLB to provide mechanisms to detect all forms of match-fixing which he claims is simmering in the league. Hearts Oak, Asante Kotoko and King Faisal are involved a in a three- way traffic jam for the league title while 11 teams face the prospect of dropping out of the premier league. The unsubstantiated claims had already been raised by RTU coach Abdul Razak early in the second half of the season. "Every season teams try to buy matches to stay in the league or win it and this nonsense must stop. The PLB must ensure the rest of the matches in this years league is fought out in a competitive manner," Grunzah said. "It will be a big shame on us if after all the big money Glo is spending on the league it ends on a match fixing fiasco. "Sponsorship has always been difficult but when we get them, some teams play it soft for other to win so they either stay top or down." He added that: "We are once again hearing that some teams who seems a bit safe wanting to sell their matches t favour one team or the other."
